I used it all the way though the early betas. It really is the greatest release of firefox yet. Download day took in over 8million downloads setting a world record. It was awesome.

I DL'd it, but I haven't tried it yet. I really haven't spent more than five minutes on my computer this week, either, so I'll get cracking!

Ok, so FBL doesn't want me to unpack the tarball because it'll mess up my links or something. What gives? I tried finding the .deb last night using
sudo apt-cache search firefox
and I found nothing regarding firefox 3...
FBL, I know you upgraded, so show me the way...

I think if you're using ubuntu, its:
sudo apt-get install firefox
I might be wrong but I think that's what it is.

Yeah, that installs an updated version of firefox 2.0 from what I see on the list of updates for Feisty Fawn... (Kubuntu 7.04).
That's why I tried doing sudo apt-cache search <program>
This will search the repositories for available packages and give you a list in terminal...
If I'm wrong, I'll apt-get it tonight!
Where the fuck is FBL? Oh wait. I think he's sick.

Using it at home and work. Got a few people at work on it already. Love the new plugins, tab restore and address history. Top notch.
BJORN, It may not be out for Ubuntu 7.04.
I suggest you try:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firefox-3.0
