To greatly cut back the number of spambots and fake accounts registering on the forums, a new field will be required upon registering to tell if you are in fact human or not.

Introducing the Revolutionary Ham Catcher!

In the world of blogging, Ham is referred to as the good comments on posts, and of course the spam comments are called SPAM.

If you enter the wrong answer for this question, you will not be able to register to the forums and post.

This feature will be updated frequently because of the growing number of smart bots and their tendency to figure out things through repetition.

This new field is also REQUIRED at registration and cannot be changed later.

Thanks yd, this is great. I put one of those on the old boards for anonymous posts... Stopped bots dead in their tracks.

I'd ask now to take off image confirmation, since that just slows down the registration process.. I'd also be a fan of allowing anonymous posts with the ham... But you're the one spinning the wheels, so I'll take help any way it comes. It's more help than I've ever had on here, and I really do appreciate it!

P.S. I edited your post by taking off the hot-link to the ham image, and rehosting on imageshack. Mirror is there for work-safe-only content readers

Last but not least, how does another admit edit it? Thanks!

YD for prez :)

I'll get you caught up with how to edit it. I think you can be able to remove the image verification but the only problem with removing that is, then the spambots only have one medium to go through, the Ham Question. There are better versions of those image verifying dealies and I'll look into getting something like recaptcha which is incredibly easy to read for humans and stops spambots dead.

Also, I didn't know that my website was considered NSFW :( Never ever posted anything that was there, otherwise it would be blocked by my school. Any case, Yo Daddy is on the job
