if you're all confused. they match the new theme. i kinda want to make it a rule not to use the old style smilies since they have white borders around them and the new theme is black.

i think i'll release a beta version for everyone to use and then i'll improve it as we go. there are still a few images that need to be changed up and the steam plugin needs to be put in the theme. other than that, we're good to go. ^_^

YD, thx for the enthusiasm, but please tell me we aren't drastically changing the site without voting.. or at least previewing it first.... We spent a long time working around a dark theme'd site, and TBH, I'd rather not go back to that dungeon.

I'm all for change, especially when its improvement, but if you'd like to see a productive, collaborative, and "rule setting" site, take a look over at http://ubuntuforums.org/.

i hadn't planned on going "this is what i've done and this is the way we're going to keep it"

the way i wanted show off the new theme was by getting it almost 100% done then switching the default theme over for about a week so everyone can test drive it. I was also planning on making a thread with a poll about the new theme and allowing everyone to post their opinion on the new theme.

If it ended up with no one liking it, i'll scrap it completely and find something else that you think would be more suitable. or if everyone liked it, i'd finish it up completely.

So all of the "old" emoticons have been bumped to "old_", correct? This means they should be easy to restore.

I see they're IPB rips as well... If we keep the theme, we'll need new :shot: :beer: :coffee: recreated for it as well Here's some i made a few years back for IPB:
